Brief Bio:

I am currently with Uganda Wildlife Authority Communication Department as well as a Phd student in Journalism and Communication specifically looking at the role of media in supporting wildlife conservation in Uganda. I have both Journalism and Strategic Communication training and experience, with focus in environmental Public Relations Awareness, Media Management and Corporate Affairs. Mydoctoral dissertation is titled Interrogatthe role of media in shaping wildlife conservation in Uganda. The purpose of this study is to examine how the public accesses wildlife information in the media, and how portrayal of that information influences their perception of wildlife issues in Uganda. This study will offer useful insights on how Ugandans engage and view wildlife through information received from radio and newspapers as channels of communication.
