Brief Bio: 

Mr. Rugyendo is a print media journalist and entrepreneur with 22 years of experience. He’s a co-founder of The Red Pepper, Uganda’s leading daily tabloid newspaper where he has worked as Managing Editor and, currently, Director of Marketing and Digital Media. He briefly worked as a Reporter with Daily Monitor between 1999 and 2001 before quitting to found The Red Pepper. Rugyendo is researching the Growth of Digital Media amidst a declining paid newspaper circulation in Uganda, questioning what can be done to improve circulations of Ugandan newspapers. He is a thought leader and Fellow of both the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Programme and the Crans Montana Forum, a world thought leaders programme forging unity and collaboration between the North and Southern hemisphere! He’s also the current Chairman of the Uganda Premier League board.
