Harriet Sebaana is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Journalism and communication. She is an expert in media and communication, specializing in the area of public relations and strategic communication.Her research interests are in Strategic communication, Public relations and journalism/media training. She has taught public relations and Strategic communication at Makerere since 2005 up to date . She is a fellow of the Salzburg (Austria) academy on global media and democracy of 2008. She has over 10 years’ experience as academic and researcher. Much of Sebaana’s current research focuses on corporate communication, integrated marketing communication with a special interest in analysis of corporate social responsibility framework that can best explain how telecommunications companies engage in maternal health. She is a member of African network for Strategic communication in health and Development (AfriComNet) and alumnus of Salzburg Global Seminar on media and Global Change.
